Sommerro, a vibrant hub in the heart of Frogner, is now looking for committed and service-minded waiters to join our teams at TAK Oslo and Izakaya for the upcoming season.

About TAK & Izakaya

TAK Oslo is our Nordic-Japanese rooftop restaurant, a sister restaurant to the acclaimed original in Stockholm. Here, Nordic and Japanese flavours meet, with a strong focus on seasonal, local and sustainable ingredients.

Beneath TAK, you’ll find Izakaya, our lively and casual cocktail bar offering a wide selection of small dishes. With a popular rooftop terrace overlooking Frogner, the Oslo Fjord and the surrounding countryside, Izakaya is a vibrant meeting place for both locals and visitors.

About the position 

The position as Waiter at Sommerro is available as 50% and 100% seasonal contracts from April / May to mid September. For the right candidate, there is a good opportunity for permanent employment after the end of the season.

You will be part of a dedicated and professional team, helping to create memorable guest experiences in one of Sommerro’s unique dining venues.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has at least 2 years of experience in à la carte service
• Communicates effectively in English or a Scandinavian language
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Is service-minded and adapts easily to guests’s needs and expectations
• Possesses strong interpersonal skills and a positive, professional attitude
• Has an eye for detail and excellent execution skills
• Enjoys spreading joy, energy, and warmth among colleagues and guests
• Holds a valid work permit in Norway

Sommerro is more than a hotel with 231 rooms and suites. It is a cultural centre and meeting place with seven eateries, two bars, a rooftop terrace, a wellness area, and spaces for work, celebration and relaxation.

Housed in the former headquarters of Oslo Lysverker from the 1930s, Sommerro is an institution at Solli plass. Our ambition is not only to give new life to the building, but to bring new energy to the entire city.
