In 1837, Hôtel du Nord opened its doors as Trondheim's first hotel — a place where meals, conversations and hospitality stood at the centre. When Villa Nord opens at Dronningens gate 26 in 2026, we carry that story forward, with a clear eye on what comes next.

About Villa Nord

Villa Nord will be Trondheim's first boutique hotel, with 51 individually curated rooms, a restaurant, wine bar, café and intimate meeting spaces. The hotel is rooted in the city's history, yet designed for the modern traveller seeking stillness, quality and authentic experiences.

Villa Nord is not a traditional hotel. It is a place shaped by history, people and quiet precision.

Our gastronomy reflects the same: local produce. Seasonal menus. Precision without rigidity. Meals that invite guests to linger a little longer.

Villa Nord is owned by Villa Nord AS, wholly owned by Hoff Hotels AS (Realinvest AS).

We are now looking for a Sous Chef who will help shape the culinary heart of Villa Nord — with deep respect for the craft, the ingredients and the people gathered around the table.

This is a role for someone who understands that what matters most is not always the loudest thing in the room, but the thing that is remembered.

About the Role

As Chef de Partie,  you work closely with the Culinary Head Chef and souschef to execute Villa Nord's culinary expression across all food services. You are a cornerstone of the kitchen: technically precise, calm under pressure and genuinely invested in the team around you. You help maintain the standard, support the culture and step into leadership naturally when called upon.

You will collaborate closely with the Culinary Head Chef and souschef, restaurant manager and head of bar to ensure a seamless and memorable guest experience at every touchpoint.

Your Responsibilities

• Support the Culinary Head Chef and souschef in  executing Villa Nord's culinary concept in line with the brand
• Prepare and deliver seasonal, produce-led menus with storytelling at their core
• Lead the kitchen shifts day-to-day with clarity, care and professional rigour
• Maintain consistently high quality across all service periods — from morning through evening
• Assist with staff development, training and building a strong kitchen culture
• Contribute to structured operations including cost control, sustainability practices and food safety
• Be an active participant in positioning Villa Nord as a destination for genuine food experiences
