WAITERS – VILLA NORD

Carried by heritage. Crafted by people.

In 1837, Hôtel du Nord opened its doors as Trondheim's first hotel – a place where meals, conversation and care stood at the centre. When Villa Nord opens at Dronningens gate 26 in 2026, we carry that story forward, with a clear eye on what comes next.

About Villa Nord

Villa Nord will be Trondheim's first boutique hotel, with 51 individually curated rooms, a restaurant, wine bar, café and intimate meeting spaces. The hotel is rooted in the city's history, but shaped for modern travellers seeking calm, quality and genuine experiences.

Villa Nord is not a traditional hotel.

It is a place shaped by history, people and quiet precision.

Villa Nord is owned by Villa Nord AS, wholly owned by Hoff Hotels AS (Realinvest AS).

We are now looking for waiters who want to be true hosts – across breakfast, café, restaurant and wine bar. People who understand that a meal is never just a meal, and that what guests remember most is how they were made to feel.

This is a role for someone who understands that true luxury is not about volume or pace, but about presence, quality and details that are felt – not announced.

About the role

As a waiter at Villa Nord, you are the face of the house. You welcome guests, read the room, and carry the experience from the first coffee in the morning to the last glass at night.

This is a role for someone who understands that good service is not a script, but a relationship. You know when to be present and when to step back, and you take pride in the small details that most people never notice – but always feel.

You work closely with the Assistant Restaurant Manager, Restaurant Manager, kitchen and bar, and are an important part of the culture we are building.

Your responsibilities

- Hosting and serving guests across breakfast, café, restaurant and wine bar

- Delivering a personal, warm and consistent guest experience in line with Villa Nord's values

- Sharing the stories behind our menu, our wines and our house with genuine knowledge and care

- Preparing and maintaining the venue – every detail matters, before, during and after service

- Working closely with kitchen and bar to ensure calm, seamless flow

- Contributing to a service culture built on quality, respect and pride in the craft

We are looking for someone who

- Is genuinely curious about people and takes pleasure in making others feel welcome

- Has a strong sense of quality and detail

- Has experience from restaurant, café or hotel service – or the attitude and will to learn the craft properly

- Has an interest in food and wine, and wants to grow that knowledge

- Stays calm and attentive, even when the room is full

- Communicates clearly, honestly and respectfully

- Is motivated by building something over time – not just delivering in the short term

Why Villa Nord

With us, you get to shape something from the very beginning. Not a standard concept – but a place with soul, a clear identity, and room for craft and ambition.

What we offer

- A role in a unique boutique hotel with a clear identity

- The opportunity to be part of setting the standard and culture from the start

- A strong concept rooted in history, craftsmanship and human connection

- Skilled colleagues, engaged owners and an ambitious professional environment

- A working day where quality always comes before quantity

- Real opportunities for professional growth – including food and wine training – in a house being built right now

Villa Nord is a place where hospitality is about seeing people, creating trust, and leaving room for the unexpected. If this resonates, we would love to hear from you.
