Senior Barista / Bartender — Hybrid Beverage Specialist

Villa Nord opens at Dronningens gate 26, in a building that has been part of Trondheim's hospitality story since 1837. Join us on a voyage along the merchant road — a beverage journey carried across our three departments: café, bistrot and bar. Sophisticated coffee collaborations in the café; an excellent aperitivo programme at the bistrot; and a sustainable cocktail programme at the bar, built around signatures made with local ingredients. All under one roof, and one team.

We are in search of the next members of our beverage team. Detailed training will be provided in our own facilities.

We are searching for individuals with experience either in barista positions or in bartending, who have the curiosity to thrive in both departments and to keep learning. Perhaps you are a coffee professional drawn to the architecture of a cocktail — balance, dilution, texture. Perhaps you are a bartender who has always wanted to understand extraction properly, at last.

What we are looking for

• 5+ years behind a quality-focused coffee bar or cocktail bar
• Craft you can explain, not only execute
• Hospitality-oriented people with exceptional character — hospitality first, ego last
• Genuine curiosity to learn the other discipline
• Flexibility for rotating shifts across all three departments
• English, both oral and written — Norwegian is a huge plus

What we provide

• A detailed, intensive training programme across every station. Before we open, we will take you through the whole beverage programme, hands-on and in depth. Intense training, so that everyone steps into their shifts fully prepared for this new journey.
• Time with the people behind the product. Our high-end suppliers will support ongoing hands-on training across the coffee and spirits world of Villa Nord — time spent directly with the roasters and producers whose work we pour. [Name your partners if you can — it carries real weight.]
• Variety, not isolation. No single station to be tied to and no shift that looks quite like the last. You will rotate across café, bistrot and bar, seeing the whole house rather than one corner of it — and you will do it beside equally ambitious, hospitality-driven colleagues.
