Canteen Kitchen Assistant

At Admiral Hotel, we are looking for a full-time Kitchen Assistant to join our staff canteen team. You don’t need to be a trained chef, but we are looking for someone with kitchen experience, a passion for doing things properly and a natural ability to make people feel welcome.

Our staff canteen is an important part of everyday life at Admiral. This is where our colleagues meet, recharge and enjoy a good meal during their working day – and you will play an important role in making that experience a great one.

Your role

• Your main responsibility will be to help run our staff canteen together with our chef and in close collaboration with the daily manager.
• You will assist with preparing both hot and cold dishes, help serve the food and make sure the canteen is always inviting, clean and well stocked.
• You will also take ownership of the canteen area throughout the day – from presentation and replenishment to cleaning and maintaining the quality of the food being served.
• As you get to know our colleagues, you will also become familiar with their individual needs, allergies and dietary requirements, always meeting them with a smile and a helpful attitude.

This is a full-time position with daytime working hours:

Monday – Thursday: 07:30–15:30
Friday: 07:00–15:00
The expected starting date is 1 October 2026.

• Have previous experience working in a kitchen, including both hot and cold preparation
• Have high standards when it comes to hygiene, quality and your own work
• Are friendly, presentable and enjoy interacting with people
• Take responsibility and naturally see what needs to be done
• Care about keeping the canteen clean, inviting and well organised
• Bring positive energy and contribute to a good atmosphere in the team

Formal culinary training is not required. For us, your attitude, reliability and kitchen experience are what matter most.
